Old Spice Barbershop

When Old Spice was building out their first-ever barbershop, aesthetics was the name of the game. It wasn’t just that they were in the business of making people look their best. This barbershop was also serving as a content studio to create styling videos and capture visits from celebrity stylists. It had to look good and be ready for anything.

The original plan was to create casework counters and open-backed shelving that climbed to the rafters. The challenge? Casework wouldn’t be structurally stable or cost-effective enough to pull off the look. DIRTT Timber, on the other hand, was both. Timber shelving with integrated lighting was custom stained to match the cabinetry. The beams continued across the ceiling plane tying both sides of the barbershop together. The timber offered practical storage with a warm unified look that could also support the cabinets. Strong and rugged, just like the historic brand brought to life in the barbershop.
