In fact, it’s recognized as one of the best neurology hospitals in the United States. To maintain their competitive edge, they wanted to create a new in-patient care center.

This new space is an intensive care unit and neurosurgery center that helps those dealing with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. To make patients comfortable, Abbott leveraged DIRTT to create care rooms with biophilic design principles. Wood-veneer-style Thermofoil, nature-inspired scenes and natural light make spaces more relaxing. And a meditation room was created to help ease patient anxiety.

This eight-floor facility provides the level of care Abbott is known for. And using DIRTT’s fluid approach to construction, means it can adapt to the needs of patients for years to come.
